Wave Break Island is a popular spot for day visits, located just across the Broadwater from our holiday apartments. One of the biggest draw cards is the spectacular marine life for view by snorkelers and beginner or seasoned scuba divers alike. You can book guided snorkelling tours or dives with the Gold Coast Dive Centre and find out for yourself why divers keep coming back to Wave Break Island.

Broadwater Parklands

Families can’t get enough of the Broadwater Parklands. The ultimate playground, with stretches of green grass that the kids can run free on, scooter and bike tracks, playgrounds as far as the eye can see, a giant kids bounce zone, and the man made rock pools perfect for splash play.

The Great Lawn and stage area is the perfect spot for a picnic a favourite among locals for a variety of fun filled events and activities. The 100m pier is perfect for fishing or watching the boats cruise by. There is a swimming enclosure that’s just right for smaller children, without waves or rips to worry about. Gold Coast Aquatic Centre

Aligned with the Broadwater Parklands is the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. This state of the art facility was built to host the swimming and diving events for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Featuring 6 heated pools, dive training facility, and fitness centre. The centre offers a range of fitness classes from water aerobics to deep water running.

The aligning eatery Cafe Catalina is the perfect place to recharge with an array of mouthwatering tapas, modern Australian mains, and delicious cocktails to be enjoyed. Their Sunday sessions are a wonderful way to enjoy a drink or two while enjoying live music and taking in the view.
